ACTIVITIES
TOUR: THE ATLANTA HISTORY CENTER Thursday Sept. 30th We will board buses from the hotel to the Center promptly at 9am. The Center is located two miles away and consists of exhibitions and historical houses set in 33 acres of beautiful gardens steeped in Southern charm and grace. We’ll walk back in time when we visit the Civil War Museum and we’ll explore Atlanta’s elegant past in our visit to the 1928 Swan House Mansion. While at the Swan House Coach Restaurant we’ll lunch on the traditional “Swan’s Favorite” Chicken Salad plate served with a frozen fruit salad and cheese straws along with a choice of desserts and beverages. Wine is available for purchase. Afterwards we’ll be free to explore the other exhibitions from The Civil War to The Civil Rights Movement as well as the historical Tullie Smith Farm. Those interested can view the film "The making of Gone With The Wind" for those interested. Return to hotel by 4PM.
